- Patrick Meleny - Buisness Card
Patrick is no ordinary dude. He’s a talented, fashionable, fun loving guy and I thought his business cards should reflect that. He gave me the verse from Romans 8:14, “Those who are led by the Spirit are sons of God.” I felt that this really led to images of the Trinity. The crown represents the Father, the Son is represented by the sun, and the spirit by the birds.
- Andy Leonard Album, "Into the Depths
Andy approached me about a new project he was planning on releasing and was looking for artwork. Andy was great about explaining the thoughts behind the title, “Into the Depths.” The adjectives he used to describe the theme were bottomless, endless, devotion, and passion. We worked this into the design through a subtle theme of the wave. Everything in the design stems from the center and no matter which way you hold the CD, you see that same wave. On the actual CD, you actually fall into the ‘O’ of “Into the Depths” through the center of the CD.
- Give me Your Eyes - Retreat T-shirt
This is a new shirt for Kate Deasy of St. Elizabeth’s Parish in the Boston area. They are heading to Jamaica for a mission trip in a few weeks and asked for a shirt that would fit their mission. They were looking for an alternative looking shirt that incorporated the Jamaican flag colors and the theme “Give me Your eyes” (based on an incredible song by Brendon Heath). One big difference in this shirt is how it’s printed on the seams, if you’re interested in learning more on how to do this e-mail me at cory@likableart.com.
- Agape T-shirt
This shirt design was commissioned for an “Agape” retreat in the Boston area. Given pretty much no boundaries on the design, I was trying to figure out how to say “I believe in a love that is greater” in the end sometimes the solution is on the tip of your tongue.
- 7 Gift of the Holy Spirit - Retreat T-shirt
The design is one big flame, representing the Holy Spirit (see Acts 2:3), made up entirely of the 7 gifts written out. Each gift is listed within the picture exactly 7 times, subtly stressing the significance of the number seven.
- Ferocious Stereo Album, "Seven Yourself"
- Kevin Heider's Business Card
Kevin's lyrics tell more than what the average song might tell. So it’s a labeled piano – telling more about the piano than a typical piano.
- Kacvinsky & Associates Logo
They are a consulting company doing great work helping companies (including Disney and HP) properly market and invest. They do a lot of their work with some phenomenal non-profits. They were looking to refresh their logo with something that would give them a corporate, modern look. A delight to work with Kevin and great to see him pleased with the outcome.
- This is a shirt made for Trinity Hall
The shirt follows the sign of the cross. The Father is represented by the rays of light at top, the Son is symbolized by the cross at the bottom and the doves represent the Holy Spirit on the left and the right.
- Lift Ministries - Series Poster
The whole intention of the poster is that your eye is drawn from the text into the blank space and color on the left, which is her womb – where Christ himself resides. This is representing how Mary always brings us to Christ.
Her arms are outstretched; prepared to embrace. The rainbow over the womb is a reminder of Christ being the fulfillment of the promises of the covenant.
- God is Love T-shirt
God is Love! Paul, a youth minister from Indianapolis, wanted to put together a “Deus Caritas Est” (Latin for God is Love) T-shirt and logo that could go on postcards and other promotional material. When I asked Paul to explain more, he shared this, “I guess I am looking for a mix of traditional Catholic imagery and modern graphic design. I want to explore that fact “God is Love”, is not some sweet little saying. Love is very powerful. Love makes people do very courageous, stupid, weird, and awesome things. Love is Christ dying on the cross for us. Love is SACRIFICE. Love is what all the best stories are centered around. LOVE is what keeps humanity around. Love makes life worth living. So I want the shirt to express that strength of LOVE.” I decided on a very simple design that points to a very complex truth. The simple words “Deus Caritas Est” make their way on the shirt as well as 4 significant blood stains one for each of Christ’s piercings. Nothing has shown us in such a profound way that God is Love than the death of His only Son, Jesus Christ.
- Andrea Gleason Album, "One of Those Nights"
Andrea explained to me her thoughts behind the album and about the consistent themes of facing fears and strength being found in God. After talking a bit about these ideas of working through the pains of life and the journey to self knowledge, we conceptualized the front to be a solar eclipse and the back to be a welcoming home in the night. These visualizations are all to point to the truth that, even in the darkness the light is coming, and there is a place of refuge even when it seems to be the contrary. When you open the CD the inside of the cover (not pictured) shows the same shot of the eclipse, but the sun emerging almost completely from behind the moon.
